I pray that the roots of setbacks, storms, satanic attacks, and even self-sabotage erode, crumble, and wither away, to be replaced by the incorruptible strength, peace, and joy that only heaven can give that will neither change nor fade.

Speaker 1:

Think of all the different reflections of you I reflect podcaster, defender, student guide, teacher, educator, facilitator, hospitality worker, an aspiring anaphile learner and a budding travel enthusiast. These are the titles that I have worn, wear and am crafting to fit the experience and circumstance I find myself in and where I want to be and to be doing in the next five years. They are the result of where I've placed my focus and attention, In other words, in my youth I wanted to teach, so I became a teacher, but before that I needed to learn how to teach, so I became a student. Before I became a podcaster, I had to become a learner of the craft. Same Nalita, different iterations.

Speaker 1:

I love that about life. On one of my graduation cards years ago, my aunt wrote I admire your tenacity. And that's always stuck with me all these years later. It's a reminder to be tenacious, constant listener, to go after what I want and to be what I want to be. Look in your life's mirror and say, hey, this is who I am. And when life gets hard, don't ever forget that beautiful soul looking back at you from the other side of the mirror. I'm your hostess with the mostest Nolita Hollis, and you're tuned in to Ways to Win Wednesdays on One Degree to Victory, the only podcast that supports women through family traumas, using my experiences to offer hope, practical strategies and the mindset shifts needed to rise.

Speaker 1:

It's time to lock in, load up and lean in. That means clear away your distractions, focus your mental and emotional energy and channel it fully into today's message. Make it more than a topic, make it a breakthrough. Let's start here with you. You, exactly as you are right now, are okay for whatever journey you're on, whatever journey you're preparing for, whether it's healing, growth, acceptance, forgiveness or learning, whatever that is for you, you are the best version of yourself that you know how to be. Right now. You are not tomorrow's version, you are not last year's version, but you are today's, distinctly and uniquely today's version, and that's perfectly fine.

Speaker 1:

Here's where many of us trip up. We spend so much time looking into other people's mirrors. You hear me peering into their lives, going to see and expecting to see a glimpse of ourselves. But, sister, girl, constant listener, beautiful soul, their mirror was never meant to reflect you. Their journey, their metrics, their measurements, their definitions of success, those aren't yours to carry of success, those aren't yours to carry.

Speaker 1:

This radical self-acceptance means that understanding that your path is uniquely yours. Your growth doesn't need to look like anyone else's. Your better might be quieter, louder, slower or completely different from what others expect, and that's exactly how it should be. You are moving toward better. You're better. It's not society's version, not your family's version, not social media's version, your version, and that movement, that journey, is sacred and personal. Remember this constant listener you don't need to apologize for being a work in progress. We all are. The only mirror you need to look into is your own, and you have exactly the right stride on your journey to becoming even more of who you're meant to be. Listen until next time. This is Nelida Hollis, reminding you to love yourself a little more than you did yesterday. I love y'all. Live whole free, intentionally.
