I pray that the roots of setbacks, storms, satanic attacks, and even self-sabotage erode, crumble, and wither away, to be replaced by the incorruptible strength, peace, and joy that only heaven can give that will neither change nor fade.

Speaker 1:

Part of growing is cultivating your authentic self through strength, transformation, understanding, faith and freedom. Everything that we do here is helping you find your true essence and to not be afraid of what makes you uniquely. You the journey of personal growth, however you. The journey of personal growth, however, can be significantly hindered by one powerful obstacle unforgiveness. Like a heavy anchor, it weighs down our potential and blocks our path to fulfillment. When we hold on to past hurt and resentment, we create invisible barriers that limit our ability to experience life fully. This is why forgiveness plays such a critical role in our personal development and growth. So much more. It's so much more than letting go constant listener. It is an opportunity to create space for new growth, healing and possibilities. And when we choose to forgive, we choose to prioritize our own peace and progress over past grievances. Unforgiveness is a form of stagnation. It hinders growth and prevents you from operating at full capacity. It's like trying to drive a car with the parking brake on. Okay, you might move forward, but you'll never reach your full speed or potential. I'm your hostess with the mostest, nalita Hollis, and you're tuned in to Ways to Win. Wednesday on One Degree to Victory, the only podcast that supports women through family traumas, using my experiences to offer hope, practical strategies and the mindset shifts needed to rise. It's time to lock in, load up and lean in constant listener. That means clear away your distractions, focus your mental and emotional energy and channel that energy fully into today's message and always make it more than a topic, make it a breakthrough. Today, we're exploring how forgiveness is so much more, so much more than an act of letting go. It's a demonstration of inner strength that leads to ultimate freedom. You know where I'm going with this. Let's integrate this concept of unforgiveness as part of our stuff framework. You remember what that is Strength, transformation, understanding, faith and freedom, and we're going to discover how it ties everything together. Let's start so.

Speaker 1:

Number one first, contrary to popular belief, forgiveness isn't a sign of weakness. It's actually one of the most powerful tools in our emotional arsenal. When we choose to forgive, we're exercising incredible my goodness, incredible discipline and inner strength. First of all, it takes courage to face painful experiences. Second, forgiveness is an active choice, not passive acceptance. And finally, the process of forgiveness builds emotional resilience.

Speaker 1:

Number two forgiveness catalyzes personal transformation in three ways. It releases emotional baggage that is weighing us down and holding us back. Y'all remember the song Erykah Badu's Bag Lady. You're going to miss your bus. You got too much stuff. You're holding on to too many past experiences. You're replaying those experiences over and over in your mind and you will not move forward because this happened then. I remember when that happened, so I'm not even going to try anymore. You've got to release that emotional baggage constant listener and by doing so you create the space for new opportunities in relationships and you can move through life with grace and humility.

Speaker 1:

Number three through forgiveness, we gain deeper insights into human nature and its complexities. Right? You understand that everybody's not going to treat you the same, everyone's not going to be the same, that there are billions of people on this planet and each one is living a different life experience. My God, what a revelation. We get deeper insights into our own patterns and triggers and that the shared human experience, no matter its complexities, but those shared human experiences, those emotions that we feel, right, we feel pain, we feel healing or we experience healing, we experience joy. There is suffering in every walk of life. We have our trials and tribulations, but we all cry the same tears of joy. We all cry the same tears of pain. We know what laughter is when we see it. Pain, we know what laughter is when we see it. Human nature and its complexities.

Speaker 1:

Number four forgiveness bolsters our faith in that it helps develop trust in life's journey, it strengthens our inner belief systems and it creates peace with uncertainty. And that uncertainty arises directly from. Number three we understand that everybody is going through life at a different pace, at a different structure, at a different complexity, from a different perspective than we are. Oh, that's so beautiful. Finally, number five the ultimate gift of forgiveness is freedom. Freedom from past hurts I love that one. Freedom to create new beginnings I love that one. And freedom to choose your emotional state I really, really love that one. I embrace all three of those freedoms through my unforgiveness and through accepting the forgiveness of the person that I hurt.

Speaker 1:

You remember the previous podcast? I stated that when I was going through my healing and trying to find a way to forgive, I discovered that I had unintentionally hurt someone and I required forgiveness from them. And I'm able to accept that the same way, with the same humility and grace that I extend forgiveness to others. And so when we talk about our strength, transformation, understanding, faith and freedom from through the lens of forgiveness, we're actually mapping out the pathway that forgiveness creates in our life. We release what no longer serves us. Your anger only held you back. We gain more. We gain the precious commodity of space and time to fully become who we were meant to be.

Speaker 1:

Here's a transformational truth that I want you to really let sink in. The act of forgiveness is perhaps, at least for me, the most authentic expression of self-love we can practice. Let me break it down. When you forgive, you're declaring that your peace, right, your joy, your freedom are more important than holding on to past hurts. You are more important than your past hurts, wounds and pains.

Speaker 1:

Constant listener, you are choosing to honor your journey of growth over the weight of grievances. Untether yourself from the rock. Untether yourself from the rock. Untether yourself from the pain. There are so many more experiences that you could be a part of, rather than sitting here tethered to the anger and the frustration and the hurt that has been holding you back. Frustration and the hurt that has been holding you back, that constant listener, is the transformative power of forgiveness. What would become possible in your life if you chose to release just one piece of unforgiveness today Until next time? This is your hostess with the mostest, nelita Hollis, reminding you to love yourself a little more than you did yesterday. Your peace, your freedom and your growth are worth the journey.
